In 2011 the journey began to build the Chitra Collection around the world – properties hand-picked by Nirmal K. Sethia for their location and atmosphere. Chitra House Oslo was the first to open to the public, on 12 April 2016, as a tribute to his late wife, Chitra.
Tell us what you are planning, and we will create the setting for a memorable experience.

From the gilded gate to the crystal chandeliers – some of the rooms, details and moments that await at Chitra House.
Chitra House combines Indian- and Scandinavian-inspired interiors. The ground floor is inspired by Indian style and tradition, while the first floor is shaped by Scandinavian design.
The first floor offers bright, elegant rooms inspired by Scandinavian design – perfect for meetings, conferences and smaller events.

The first floor has conference rooms, a boardroom and salons – bright rooms with chandeliers, velvet chairs and large windows. There is room for everything from small board meetings to larger gatherings.

Blue walls, a fireplace and soft velvet furniture give the salon a calm, cosy atmosphere. A natural place to gather before dinner, or for a break between meetings.
Private events
Large windows in the tower room let the daylight in and look out towards the Oslofjord – a quiet corner for conversations and smaller meetings.
